Thank you so much for deciding to provide gifts for a child!
Please call Catherine Drewry at 706-201-7241 or email email@example.com to adopt a child or family.
We ask that you spend about $100 - $125 on each child. This way, we can keep things equitable for all. You’re not expected to get everything on the wish list - volunteers asked for lots of ideas so that you’d have some choices.
Please do buy clothes if they are listed as needed (one or two outfits, usually, or as budget allows). If a coat is needed, please try to find one – a good, clean, used coat is fine. Because shoes are so hard to properly fit, I would only buy them if they are specially noted on the list and fit in your budget. I would only buy underwear and socks if it fits in the budget, too. PLEASE stick with the sizes listed on the form - assume they are correct and do not buy bigger for them to grow into – interviewers have already allowed for that.
As for fun items, one nice toy is usually better than a lot of little toys. Know that we also receive some toys from toy drives, so we usually have a couple of toys to add to each bag. If you decide to give a bicycle (Wow!), please also give an age-appropriate helmet if it is noted on the wish list. Bikes can be labeled for the child receiving it by writing the code number on a piece of masking tape and putting it on the bike seat. Check for age appropriate ratings on c.d.s, video games, and movies.
Please put all the gifts for a child in a large trash bag, and boldly mark the outside of the bag with the child’s code number. Bulky items that won’t fit in the bag should also have the child’s code number boldly marked. Please do not wrap the gifts, but feel free to include gift wrap or bags if you’d like. (If your child were receiving gifts from a stranger, you’d want to know what was in there before they opened it, right?)
All gifts are due by Saturday, December 7th. Please bring them to Crawford Baptist Church on Friday, December 6th from 9 am - 6 pm, or on December 7th from 9 am - 6 pm, or call Catherine Drewry at 706-201-7241 to make other arrangements.
[Crawford Baptist is located near the traffic light in Crawford, next door to The Commercial Bank and across the park from the Depot.]
HAVE FUN, AND KNOW THAT YOU’RE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A NEEDY CHILD! THANK YOU!
