If your family could use some help:
Santa may help you pay a household bill in 2025!
If you qualify, you will receive financial help towards rent, utilities, or another bill that you choose.
You will receive an envelope in the mail with either a check made payable for the bill you choose, or confirmation that the bill was paid on line or by phone. We hope to have checks in your mailbox by the end of the first week of December.
The envelope will also include a ticket with a time to pick out gifts for your children on Tuesday, Dec. 16th, at Crawford Baptist Church. Families assisted prior to the holidays will receive gift tickets but no additional bills will be paid.

No appointment is necessary. Just drop in!

Thursday, Oct. 23rd 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. At the high school. Park and enter behind the school.
Friday, Oct. 24th 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. At the high school. Park and enter behind the school.
Saturday, Oct. 25th 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. At Crawford Baptist Church, 124 Church St. Enter up the ramp beside the bank.
What to bring. You must re-qualify every year!
1. Parent or guardian’s ID and proof of residency in the county (driver’s license, bill, or lease)
2. Proof of ALL household income
3. Children’s birth certificates or SS cards

4. Whatever info we will need to pay on your bill!

Financial donations are needed, and may be made at any time. Click the yellow donate button at the bottom of the page to donate with Paypal or a credit card. Checks made payable to Community Christmas can be mailed to 143 Bowen Farm Rd. Crawford, GA 30630 or dropped off at the Commercial Bank in Crawford.
Toy collections - Due by Monday, December 15th

Please contribute new, unwrapped toys to Toys for Tots, or at one of the other local toy collections, including those at the Oglethorpe County Schools, Oglethorpe Children's Academy, Dollar General between Crawford and Lexington, The Commercial Bank in Crawford, or the Oglethorpe County Sheriff's Office with Public Safety. Make other arrangements by calling Catherine Drewry at 706-201-7241 or Shirley Dillard at 706-540-0785. Teen items such as toiletry sets, electronics, sports equipment, art supplies, and gift cards are especially needed.
Please contact us at oglethorpecommunitychristmas@gmail.com if you would like to sponsor a collection. Toys are due on Sunday, December 14th 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, or Monday, December 15th from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Earlier drop-off times by appointment, call Catherine Drewry at 706-201-7241.
Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to set up the toy distribution area on Monday, December 15th 9:00 am - 5:00pm, and to help with distribution and clean up on Tuesday, December 16th. Contact April Moore at amoore@oglethorpe.k12.ga.us to volunteer for this.
We are collecting some furniture and appliances that we distribute year round as families need them. Please contact us to see if there is need for your extra household items.
