Toy collections - Due by December 13th

2

Please contribute new, unwrapped toys to Toys for Tots, or at one of the other local toy collections, including those at the schools, Dollar General between Crawford and Lexington, The Commercial Bank in Crawford, the Oglethorpe Animal Clinic, or the Oglethorpe County Sheriff's Department. Make other arrangements by calling Catherine Drewry at 706-201-7241 or Shirley Dillard at 706-540-0785. Teen items such as toiletry sets, electronics, sports equipment, art supplies, and gift cards are especially needed.

Please contact us at oglethorpecommunitychristmas@gmail.com if you would like to sponsor a collection. Toys are due no later than December 13th, with December 11 - 12 preferable so we can better prepare for distribution.

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to set up the toy distribution area on December 12 - 13, and to help with distribution and clean up on December 14. Contact April Moore at amoore@oglethorpe.k12.ga.us to volunteer for this.

Donations of nice, clean, used clothes, coats, bikes, and other items for babies, children, and teens will be collected December 11 – 13 by appointment. Contact Catherine at 706-201-7241. Your good extra stuff will be offered to our recipient families to take as part of our “free yard sale” when they pick up gifts for their kids. If you have nice clean coats ready early, we can give them away during our interview times on October 12 - 14, so families have them before it’s really cold.

We are collecting some furniture and appliances that we distribute year round as families need them. Please contact us to see if there is need for your extra household items.
